NewMac2015

 

 

NewMac invites submissions of abstracts for the 2015 conference to be held on 17 July, 2015 at Macquarie University, Sydney. The deadline to submit your abstract is midnight AEST 20 February 2015.

 

 

Conference Theme:

 

Breaching Boundaries

 

'Breaching boundaries' attempts to demonstrate the critical contributions being made to the general body of knowledge of the presenter's discipline, through research being undertaken by the presenter. In line with this thematic focus, conference papers should aim to show that settled understandings in the general body of knowledge of a presenter's discipline are iether being challenged, deepened, broadened, or affected in ways that can be adjudged meaningful and/or significant. Given this broad thematic focus, presenters are encouraged to showcase how their research is 'Breaching boundaries'.

 

Who can participate?

 All Higher Degree Research candidates of the humanities and social science disciplines which include law, music, drama, english, creative writing, history, itnernational studies, sociology, ancient history, politics, philosophy, education, theology, cultural studies, media and communications.

 

Students from any other humanities-related disciplines are also welcome to participate.

 

 

Awards:

 

Prizes will be awarded for the best abstract, and highly commended presentations.

 

 

Submission of Abstracts:

 

Abstracts (maximum 200 words) should be submitted to newmacconference@gmail.com by 20 February 2015.

Paper length: 20 minutes.
